AEMS Trial Firm, APC is a law firm like no other.  Founded to provide the highest quality legal services, AEMS (pronounced “aims”) is an elite, trial-focused firm.  We aim to drive outsized results in the most difficult and complex cases through cutting-edge technologies and creative approaches.

About Our Founder

Adam Sechooler has over a decade of experience litigating high-stakes and high-profile employment and business cases.  Mr.  Sechooler has experience and training in all areas of litigation, including drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs, developing case strategy, deposing senior executives and expert witnesses, arguing motions in court, and trial.

Mr. Sechooler was a member of the second graduating class at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was a Lead Articles Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review.  Before law school, Mr. Sechooler was a graduate student in sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  At the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Sechooler taught courses in research methodology and conducted an in-depth, qualitative study of relationships between small businesses and community business banks.

In addition to his active practice, Mr. Sechooler teaches legal writing in the LL.M. program at UC Berkeley.  He also taught trade secrets law at UC Irvine School of Law.  He has authored or co-authored numerous articles in legal publications and scholarly journals. 

​

Mr. Sechooler has completed the certification exam for the CIPP/US certification in privacy law.  He has also been trained in trial advocacy through the Los Angeles County Bar Association's t-TAP program.

​

Mr. Sechooler clerked for the Honorable John W. Holcomb in the Central District of California.

Defended engineers of leading space exploration technology company in trade secrets lawsuit brought by major semiconductor manufacturer.

​

Representing plaintiff in wrongful termination case against prominent Los Angeles cultural institution.

​

Secured favorable result on behalf of executive of public entity in wrongful termination case.

​

Defended AmLaw 200 law firm in malpractice case alleging more than $100 million in damages. 

​

Represented plaintiff healthcare technology company in false advertising case against competing manufacturer.

​

Represented entrepreneurs and executives in federal criminal investigations.

​​​

Defended bank executives in lawsuit brought by the FDIC alleging negligent lending.
